Nice concept, very funny! However, the assignment is to combine the type illustration/effect with the illustration. Its missing something. Get it to meet the assignment asap.
A nice touch could be to have some of the radial lines come out passed the lips of the cat. The colors also kind of hide your mighty mouse in the mouth. He should pop out more than the cat. Maybe a grey tabby could work better than an orange one. Also I know you love Batman but the crest could be something fun and something new. He's a chubby mouse so i thought a cheese wedge would be more fitting. Something to think about.
